Borrelia burgdorferi CA-11.2a. Borrelia burgdorferi CA-11.2a is a low passage strain derived from the spirochete isolate CA-11-90. Strain CA-11.2a produces low levels of the outer membrane proteins OspA and OspB which may be involved in survival in the tick gut. This strain will be used for comparative analysis with other Borrelia strains.
