The Water Bodies or WB product detects the areas covered by inland water across the globe, providing the maximum and the minimum extent of the water surface as well as the seasonal dynamics.

The area of water bodies is identified as an Essential Climate Variable (ECV) by the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS).

水体（Water Bodies，简称WB）产品用于识别全球范围内的内陆水体覆盖区域，同时提供水体表面的最大、最小覆盖范围及其季节动态变化特征。水体面积已被全球气候观测系统（Global Climate Observing System，GCOS）认定为气候关键变量（Essential Climate Variable，ECV）。
