Mild traumatic brain injury in mice beneficially alters structural and metabolic protein expression in mouse lung to enhance survival after Pseudomonas aeruginosa infection

Female ICR mice 6-8 weeks old and weighing 23-28 grams received a mild traumatic brain injury via weight drop model. 48 hours after trauma, the mice were sacrificed and RNA was extracted from lungs to examine what pulmonary gene expression changes may have been triggered by the brain injury using microarray analysis. RNA is extracted from mouse lung 48 hours after a traumatic brain injury to see what changes may have been illicited by the trauma.
