Sleep quality can affect the performance of visual working memory. However, it is unclear how this effect is manifested in the specific processing stages of visual working memory. The maintenance phase is a key component in maintaining the quality and efficiency of working memory representations. This study is the first to explore the effect of sleep quality on the maintenance of visual working memory information.
