为了构建中国北方千年尺度变化的气候记录,测量了来自8个黄土剖面的12, 330个样本的粒度。这些粒度记录的剖面相关性显示,尽管在单个剖面内可能存在小的沉积物,但是剖面的大部分区域显示出连续的风尘沉积。通过将8个剖面记录与精确测定的中国石笋d18O记录相关联,构建了一个集成的249 kyr的长时间粒度序列,这是第一个记录中国北方千年尺度变化的高分辨率记录。
To construct millennial-scale climate variability records for northern China, grain sizes of 12,330 samples collected from 8 loess sections were measured. Correlation analysis of these grain size records across the 8 sections reveals that while minor sedimentary deposits may occur locally within individual sections, most areas of the sections exhibit continuous eolian sedimentation. By correlating the grain size records from the 8 sections with the precisely measured stalagmite δ¹⁸O records from China, an integrated long-term grain size sequence spanning 249 kyr was developed, which represents the first high-resolution record of millennial-scale climate variability in northern China.
