Vliedbergen

A vliedberg is an artificial height that was originally intended as a refuge in the event of flooding, but above all has had a function as a motte castle. The dataset ‘Vliedbergen’ contains the locations of Vliedbergen that are still visible (and as published in “Monumenten van aarde”. Sculpture catalogue of the Zeeland Mountains", by R.M. van Heeringen et al.
