Green roof growing media study
收藏资源简介:
This dataset contains the experimental data used to evaluate the physical, hydrophysical, and nutritional properties of three commercially available green roof substrates in Chile and their photosynthetic performance in Sedum spurium. The dataset includes measurements of grain-size distribution, organic matter content, pH, electrical conductivity, nutrient content, water retention capacity, and SPAD chlorophyll index values obtained using a SPAD-502 portable chlorophyll meter. Data were collected from nine extensive green roof modules monitored over a four-month period under controlled environmental and irrigation conditions. The dataset supports the analysis of substrate performance in relation to water availability, nutrient dynamics, and plant physiological response, and enables comparison with national (INN, 2020) and international (FLL, 2018) green roof design guidelines. This dataset is shared to promote transparency, reproducibility, and further research on green roof substrate formulation and performance under Mediterranean and temperate climatic conditions.
