## **Abstract** \n\nThis dataset and its metadata statement were supplied to the Bioregional Assessment Programme by a third party and are presented here as originally supplied.\n\n\n\nLayer 10 Base of Jurassic-Cretaceous sequence surface\n\n\n\nSurface produced for the Great Artesian Water Resource Assessment (GABWRA) by Geoscience Australia (http://www.ga.gov.au). This surface was created for 3D visualisation of the Base of Jurassic-Cretaceous sequence.\n\n\n\nThe surface is available in the following formats\n\n1. GOCAD surface (.ts)\n\n2. ESRI grid\n\n3. ASCII grid (.grd)\n\n\n\nUse limitations: \n\n1. GOCAD surface requires program capable of reading GOCAD \\*.ts (triangulated surface) files\n\n2. These were used to constrain the existing Senior basement surface (Senior and associates, 1997), extended primarily on seismic interpretation. Because the Senior basement surface included Triassic sequences in the Surat and Eastern Eromanga basins, based on the then-existing Habermehl definition of the GAB, in areas overlying the Galilee and Bowen Basins, the Senior basement surface was replaced by the Senior Top- Moolayember surface (Senior and associates, 1997). With these adjustments, the modified Senior basement surface was accepted for the onshore GAB in Qld and NT. For South Australia, the PIRSA/ Water Commission interpreted surface (PIRSA, 2007) was used as this included latest seismic survey data. In the Carpentaria Basin, for the offshore region, the basement surface was compiled from McConachie & Stainton (1994). McConachie et.al. (1997) was used for the onshore region of the Carpentaria Basin. For the eastern Coonamble Embayment, contour data of Hawke and Cramsie (1989) was used. ## **数据集历史**

### 源数据：
地层点控制数据来源于昆士兰州地质调查局QPED（2010年）、南澳初级产业与区域发展部PIRSA（2007年）、GABLOG（Habermehl, 2001年），以及Clarence-Moreton盆地的Phil O'Brien（2011年）提供的钻孔地层拾取结果。上述数据被用于约束已有的Senior基底表面（Senior及其团队，1997年），其构建主要基于地震解释成果。由于当时基于Habermehl对大自流盆地（Great Artesian Basin, GAB）的定义，Senior基底表面包含了Surat盆地与Eromanga东部盆地的三叠系序列，因此在覆盖Galilee盆地与Bowen盆地的区域，Senior基底表面被替换为Senior Top-Moolayember表面（Senior及其团队，1997年）。经上述调整后，修改后的Senior基底表面被昆士兰州与北领地的陆上大自流盆地采用。南澳地区则采用PIRSA/水委员会制作的表面（PIRSA, 2007年），该表面纳入了最新的地震勘测数据。在Carpentaria盆地的近海区域，基底表面基于McConachie & Stainton（1994年）的数据编制；该盆地的陆上区域则采用McConachie等人（1997年）的研究成果。Coonamble凹陷东部区域采用了Hawke与Cramsie（1989年）的等高线数据。新南威尔士州西部的其他区域则应用了Hinds（2011年）的地层数据。
