Skeletal Muscle RNA-seq data of Intrauterine growth restriction (IUGR) and normal pig foetuses

Selection for high-prolificacy has brought an increase in the incidence of naturally occurring IUGR in pig litters. A key feature of IUGR is a reduction in muscle mass associated with a tendency to accumulate fat in different body stores. To this date, the molecular basis of these effects during development have not been established. The goals of this study are to compare the skeletal muscle transcriptomes between IUGR and normal gestational day 90 foetuses using Next Generation Sequencing analysis.
