Museum question-asking data file belonging to the research: Dr. Discovery Question-Asking Mobile App in Museums

This study explores how different modes of a question-asking app (Ask Mode & Game Mode) may affect visitors’ question-asking quality and behaviors in different museum environments (linear exhibit & nonlinear exhibit). This study also considers cognitive, instrumental, and socio-contextual factors associated with museum learning and primarily uses quantitative mixed-methods to understand these factors in relation to question-asking behaviors.

本研究考察了提问类应用程序的两种模式：提问模式（Ask Mode）与游戏模式（Game Mode），并分析其在不同博物馆展陈环境（线性展陈（linear exhibit）与非线性展陈（nonlinear exhibit））中对参观者提问质量与提问行为的影响。本研究同时纳入与博物馆学习相关的认知、工具性及社会情境三类因素，并主要采用定量混合研究方法，以探究上述因素与提问行为之间的关联。
