The Antecedents of Management Competence: The Role of Educational Background and Type of Work Experience, 1999

The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between leaders' managerial skills and their educational background and type of work experience. The study, which includes economists and civil engineers will investigate whether there are differences between these two groups in terms of different ways to behave as leaders. Earlier studies give reason to believe that there exist correlations between leaders' behavior and their backgrounds. This study aims to investigate this relationship further.
