JCM-16021 in diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome: efficacy and gut microbiota interactions in a double-blinded randomized placebo-controlled trial

In this study, we performed a multi-center, double-blinded randomized placebo-controlled trial to investigate the efficacy and safety of JCM-16021, a Chinese herbal formula, in treating diarrhea-predominant irritable bowel syndrome (IBS-D). We also explored the impact of JCM-16021 on gut microbiota, a potential underlying mechanism of action.
