VPRS 12015 Copies of Council Documents

This series consists of copies of Council records that were obtained by the Commission of Inquiry into the Nillumbik Shire Council.Specific records in this series are the:- diary of Shire President, Robert Marshall for 1997,- letters from Maddock, Lonie and Chisolm, lawyers for the Shire dated January 1998,- selected minutes of Nillumbik Council meetings between November 1997 and February 1998,- subject file titled Due Diligence containing records relating to the following topics Harassment, Senior Officers Returns of Interest, Councillors Returns of Interest, Due Diligence Audit as at 15/12/1994 Due Diligence Audit 31/12/1996 and Extension of Due Diligence, and- a general folder containing a variety of documents.This series represented one of the four main sources of evidence received by the Commission. The others were transcripts of public hearings, submissions received from individuals, and interviews conducted by the Commission in private.
