Neocryptolepine is a natural alkaloid isolated from the African climber C. sanguinolenta, belonging to the indoloquinoline group of alkaloids. This compound has become a natural source pioneer widely studied by medicinal chemists due to its diverse biological activities, especially its potential applications in antitumor, anti-inflammatory, and antimalarial fields. As a natural product with diverse bioactivities, neocryptophylline has great potential for ovarian cancer therapeutic studies.
