Leading European banks 2024, by brand value

The UK-based HSBC topped the list of the most valuable banking brands in 2024. HSBC had a brand value of over 20 billion U.S dollars as of February 2024. Spanish Santander ranked second, with a brand value of 18.91 billion U.S. dollars. Another UK bank, Barclays took third place, with a brand value of 13.29 billion U.S. dollars. A brand's value can have a direct correlation between a brand's strength and its standing in stock market performance. HSBC not only topped the European banks list in brand value but also in market capitalization.
