To carry out a quantitative analysis using the Particle Induced X-ray Emission (PIXE) method, knowing the effective ionisation cross-section is necessary. It can be determined using the fluorescence yield and the X-ray production cross-section. The datasets include published data available in the literature and a set of new values measured at the ARRONAX cyclotron for titanium, chromium, copper, molybdenum, silver and gold at energies between 15 and 68 MeV. The databases are used in the associated article.
