liver transcriptome of the water vole (Arvicola terrestris)

Our project aimed at identifying specific signals used by the water vole in its chemical communication for a better population control in outbreak zone. Urinary lipocalins are used by rodents in scent marking to inform congeners about their sex and physiological conditions. RNA from 3 males and 3 females liver were sequenced to identify potential sex-specific lipocalin to be used in mating disruption.
