Pd2CdGa crystallizes in the orthorhombic Immm space group. The structure is one-dimensional and consists of two Pd2CdGa ribbons oriented in the (1, 0, 0) direction. Pd is bonded in a linear geometry to one Cd and one Ga atom. The Pd–Cd bond length is 2.69 Å. The Pd–Ga bond length is 2.32 Å. Cd is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pd atoms. Ga is bonded in a linear geometry to two equivalent Pd atoms.
