Data from Ribeiro et al. 2019: Different trophic groups of arboreal ants show differential responses to resource supplementation in a Neotropical savanna

This dataset contains information about a manipulative field study where arboreal ant species were sampled directly on different supplements and also, foraging on plants by pitfall traps. <br>Methods:<br>We haphazardly assigned 32 plots (20 x 20 m) in Brazil’s Serra do Cipó National Park to receive one of four supplement treatments (Protein, CHO; Protein+CHO and water as a control) on all trees for a 7-day period in each of the wet and dry seasons. We sampled ants on supplements on the second and seventh day of the experiment and also the foraging ants on trees a week before and again during the first two days of supplementation<br>

方法：
我们在巴西塞拉多西波国家公园（Serra do Cipó National Park）内随机布设32块20×20米的样地，将其随机分配至四种补充饵剂处理组：蛋白质组、碳水化合物（CHO）组、蛋白质+碳水化合物（CHO）组，以及以清水作为对照组。该实验在湿季与旱季各开展一次，每次为期7天，实验期间为所有样地内的树木施加对应处理的饵剂。我们分别在实验开展的第2天和第7天采集饵剂上的蚂蚁样本，并于饵剂补充开始前一周，以及补充实施后的前两日，采集树木上的觅食蚂蚁样本。
