资源简介:

Supplementary material to: Dietel, S.; Robl, J. & Otto, J.-C.: Sediment transfer system in a deglaciating alpine catchment – Insights from the Habach valley, Austria. Submitted to Journal of Maps in 2026, revisions made in 2026. This dataset provides the mapping results of the first geomorphological map of the Habach Valley (Hohe Tauern National Park) in the province of Salzburg, Austria (47°11′N, 12°21′E). The dataset contains a shapefile (geopackage) with the mapped landforms, processes, geomorphometric elements, surface material and process domains with the embedded symbologies and styles. When visualizing the results, we recommend using a scale of 1: 25,000. Geomorphological mapping was conducted through field surveys in 2025 combined with the interpretation of a 1 m ALS-derived DEM, multi-temporal orthophotos, glacier inventories, and geological maps. Landforms and process domains were delineated based on a combination of morphometric characteristics, surface materials, topographic setting, glacial history, and indicators of recent process activity visible in both field observations and remote-sensing data. The dataset was compiled to address the lack of information on the spatial organization of sediment storages, geomorphological processes and process interactions in the valley. This geomorphological framework provides a fundamental basis for the interpretation of sediment dynamics, connectivity, and landscape response to ongoing climate change.
