VPRS 12090 Register of Despatched Items

This series was most likely created by the Registry within the Department of Railways II (1877-1883). It is a record of the internal movement of files, letters and other items from the Registry to various departments and people within the Railway Department.The columns on each page record to whom the item was delivered, when it was forwarded to them (date, time), the name of the person delivering the item, and a brief precis of the contents. This is usually in the form of a registration number, for files or items of correspondence, or a very brief description, eg special (possibly indicating items such as parcels).
