(pyranometer, photosynthetically active radiation)Established in Mar, 2011 as part of the ForestGEO Tropical Ecology, Assessment and Monitoring (TEAM) project.The original tower was Located near the center of the island at the north west corner of the 50ha plot (9.1568°, -79.8486°).In 2018 this tower was struck by a tree fall and rendered unusable.In Feb. 2019 a new 45m tower was build close by (9.1568°, -79.8486°).

巴罗科罗拉多岛（Barro Colorado Island）的AVA气象塔配备两套传感器，分别为北向传感器与南向传感器。监测参数涵盖空气温度、相对湿度、风速及风向、降水量、太阳辐射（包含总辐射表（pyranometer）与光合有效辐射）。该站点于2011年3月设立，作为森林全球观测网络（ForestGEO）热带生态评估与监测（TEAM）项目的组成部分。初代气象塔坐落于该岛中心附近的50公顷样地西北角，坐标为9.1568°, -79.8486°。2018年，该塔被倒伏树木撞击损毁，无法继续使用。2019年2月，在原址附近新建了一座45米高的新塔，坐标为9.1568°, -79.8486°。
