Li2YbIn is Heusler structured and crystallizes in the cubic Fm-3m space group. The structure is three-dimensional. Li is bonded in a body-centered cubic geometry to four equivalent Yb and four equivalent In atoms. All Li–Yb bond lengths are 3.06 Å. All Li–In bond lengths are 3.06 Å. Yb is bonded in a 8-coordinate geometry to eight equivalent Li and six equivalent In atoms. All Yb–In bond lengths are 3.54 Å. In is bonded in a distorted body-centered cubic geometry to eight equivalent Li and six equivalent Yb atoms.
