Microbial mediated soil C:P stoichiometric imbalance regulating P availability under legume and cereal root interactions

Root interaction altered the relative abundance of oligotrophic and copiotrophic groups, thereby regulating microbial P turnover and augmenting its contribution to plant P uptake. This study provides theoretical support for the practice of root interaction to conserve phosphate application and enhance plant P uptake in interspecific divergent cropping systems.
