Social contact alters the composition of microbiota in pig feces

In the natural condition, the sow will return back to the herd with piglets at 10-14 days after delivery. Socialization is a process of microbial exchange between organisms. However, in the modern pig industrial, the piglets hardly have a chance to contact the strangers before weaning. In our study, we want to detect the effect of early social contact on microbial composition of feces in the suckling-growing piglets.
