Zucker (fa/fa) obese rats often have non-identical and different sized paired testes, leaving one testis underdeveloped. Our earlier study found that the underdeveloped testes have a selective decrease in docosapentaenoic acid (DPA, C22:5n-6), a dominant fatty acid in the testesZucker（fa/fa）肥胖大鼠通常表现为双侧睾丸大小不均且不对称，其中一侧睾丸发育不全。我们的前期研究发现，该发育不全的睾丸内，二十二碳五烯酸（docosapentaenoic acid, DPA, C22:5n-6）的水平呈现选择性下降，而该脂肪酸为睾丸中的优势脂肪酸。
