A circular RNA (circRNA) was designed and synthesized to specifically bind heterogenous nuclear ribonucleoprotein (hnRNPL). This hnRNPL-sponge circRNA [(CA)100; 0.5, 1, or 2.5 ug per 2.5 X 105 cells] was transfected into HeLa cells, in parallel with a control circRNA, followed by RNA-seq analysis. For comparison, siRNA-mediated RNAi knockdown of hnRNPL mRNA was performed, in parallel with a luciferase control knockdown.
