Research question/hypothesis: Do the learning style preference and teaching methodology has impact on academic achievements. The learning style preferences is varying according to each stream and each year. However the teaching methodology was same across streams and years. we used VARK questionnaire to collect data from the students, the raw data was classified as V-Visual type of learning style preference, A-Aural type of learning style preference, R-Read/write type of learning style preference, K-Kinesthetic type of learning style preference. A google form was sent to the students and they filled the questionnaire. we also collected the percentage of marks achieved in the last examination. The type of learning style preference across stream at varying years of study can be interpreted, also the common teaching methodology used by teacher is reported by students. By understanding the preference of students the teaching methodology can be varied for better academic achievements by students. student centric teaching can enhance the knowledge and achievements.
