Romanian Black Sea Meiobenthos data_BRIDGE-BS_2022-2024

The meiobenthos dataset contains samples collected onboard R/V Mare Nigrum in the framework of H2020 BRIDGE-BS Project, in August 2022, February and June 2023, and July 2024, from different stations located along Mangalia transect on the Romanian Black Sea shelf. Samples were taken using a Multicorrer Mark II, equipped with 4 cores of 10 cm diameter opening. The top layer (0 -5 cm) of one of the cores at each station was cut off. The samples were washed onboard through 63 µm sieves to remove the excess of sediments, preserved in 10% formalin, and subsequently analyzed in laboratory from both quantitative (density and biomass) and qualitative point of view (according to Gierre, 2009).
