Wuppertal ATOM Feed Resident Park Areas

The ATOM Feed Download Service for Resident Park Areas in Wuppertal provides a downloadable data set which includes the delimitations and designations of (status 05/2023) 143 area-modeled residential park areas in the Wuppertal urban area managed by the Department of Roads and Traffic. “Resident’s park areas” are those areas within resident parking zones on which cars may only be parked with a resident parking permit valid for the respective zone. The application for the issue of such a resident parking card can be submitted digitally via the service portal Wuppertal. For the first time in 03/2023, the delimitations of the residential parking areas were constructed on the basis of the street and address area assignments in the public occupant parking zone list as well as by means of a comparison with the traffic sign register on the basis of the official base map ABK. For each surrounding polygon of a residential park area, the dataset also contains the two name components, the combination of which clearly denotes the corresponding resident parking zone, namely the ZONE (shortened from a maximum of 4 capital letters) and the NR (optional alphanumeric breakdown of the zone). The continuation of the data set provided by the Roads and Traffic Department takes place irregularly, in each case after a change in the parking zones and areas of the residents. The digital continuation process is currently under construction. However, the Open Data record available in Shape, KML and GeoJSON format under an Open Data License (CC BY 4.0) is automatically updated in a fixed, weekly cycle.
