Ground mechanical map 22.2.7 Merelbeke-Melle, Plate III: Thickness of Holocene clay-sand komplex (vector)

The ground-mechanical maps were drawn up by the Ghent University’s Ground Mechanical Cartering Centre and the Working Group or Commission for Ground-Mechantering (several authors) and issued under the auspices of the National Institute for Land mechanics. Quote from the explanatory texts accompanying the ground mechanical maps: “The ground-mechanical maps meet a need for a summary representation of those components of the geological environment which play a role in land use and influence the design, construction and maintenance of construction works. However, the data provided should not be given absolute accuracy because of the interpolations made when they were prepared. The maps shall provide information on the general geological and soil mechanical condition of the substrate as derived from the tests available at the time of mapping. They are therefore only guiding documents and the authors cannot be held responsible for their possible uses. Van Impe).本岩土力学图（ground-mechanical maps）由根特大学（Ghent University）岩土力学卡特林中心（Ground Mechanical Cartering Centre）及岩土力学工作组/委员会（Ground-Mechantering，多位作者）编制，并由国家土地力学研究所（National Institute for Land mechanics）主持发布。配套于该类图件的说明文本提及："本岩土力学图旨在对地质环境中参与土地利用、影响建筑工程设计、施工与运维的各类组分进行汇总性表征，以满足相关应用需求。"但由于成图过程中采用了插值处理，本数据集所提供的数据不应被视为具备绝对精度。该类图件应提供基于成图时可获取的试验数据得到的基底整体地质与岩土力学状态信息，因此仅为指导性文件，编制团队不对其可能的应用场景承担责任。本次涉及的图件为编号22.2.7的《Merelbeke-Melle岩土力学图》第三幅图（Plate III）：全新世黏土砂复合体厚度，图幅1（shell 1）：比例尺1:5000。该图件的说明文本由E. De Beer、W. De Breuck及W. Van Impe牵头，I. De Bolle与Ph. Van Burm撰写。
