A Function and Structure Informed Hierarchical Tractography Atlas for Enhancing Analysis of Superficial White Matter in in-vivo brain

Our study introduces a comprehensive SWM tractography atlas created using ultra-high-field diffusion MRI. By integrating established tractography algorithms and employing fiber-level clustering, we identified a substantial number of fiber clusters, which were refined through hierarchical clustering. We categorized these SWM fiber clusters based on their connections to functional brain networks, thereby enhancing our understanding of their roles. Besides, using a temporal dynamic functional connectivity framework and Independent Component Analysis, we assessed the functional coherence of SWM fibers.
