Dataset from the analyses of crinoids preserved within ammonite shells from the Lower Cretaceous of Madagascar

This dataset contains raw data from the analyses published in the article entitled: “Sheltered preservation of cyrtocrinid crinoids from the Lower Cretaceous of Madagascar and their palaeogeographic significance”, published in: Journal of Palaeogeography (https://doi.org/10.1016/j.jop.2022.11.002). These data included crinoid photos that were prepared using a Nikon SMZ1500 stereoscopic microscope equipped with a digital DS-Fi1 camera in the Department of Plant Cytology and Embryology, Faculty of Biology, University of Gdańsk, Poland. Furthermore, thin sections were photographed using Nikon Eclipse E400 microscope equipped with a digital Nikon Digital Sight DS-Fi2 camera (Nikon, Japan) housed at the Department of Plant Cytology and Embryology, Institute of Botany, Faculty of Biology, Jagiellonian University in Kraków, Poland.
