Mapping the fern Blechnum heringeri (Blechnaceae, Polypodiopsida): recording the geographical distribution, ecological preferences and making a new record in Northeastern Brazil

These are the supplementary data for the scientific note recording the know distribution of the fern <i>Blechnum heringeri</i>. We provide here:1- The locations and geographical coordinates of all known occurrences of this species in ODS and CSV formats;2- The map of global known distribution of this species as determined by extensive consulting of herbaria by the authors and fieldwork;3- The occurrence of the species in Ceará state, associated with a cerrado vegetation enclave within the Caatinga Phytogeographical Domain (new record made by this study);<br>4- The Extent of Occurrence (EOO) and Area of Occupancy (AOO) of the species updated to take into account the new records, as calculated by the geographical tool 'Geocat' (http://geocat.kew.org/ - Bachman et al. 2011 - https://doi.org/10.3897/zookeys.150.2109)<br>

本数据集为记载蕨类物种*Blechnum heringeri*已知分布的科学简报提供补充数据。现将提供的补充内容列明如下：
1. 以ODS和CSV格式提供该物种所有已知分布记录的点位及地理坐标；
2. 基于作者对标本馆的广泛查阅与野外调查所确定的该物种全球已知分布地图；
3. 该物种在塞阿拉州（Ceará）的分布记录，其生境为卡廷加植物地理域（Caatinga Phytogeographical Domain）内的塞拉多（cerrado）植被飞地，为本研究新增的分布记录；
4. 结合本次新增记录更新后的该物种发生范围（Extent of Occurrence, EOO）与占有面积（Area of Occupancy, AOO），由地理工具Geocat（http://geocat.kew.org/；Bachman等，2011；https://doi.org/10.3897/zookeys.150.2109）计算得出。
