Analysis data on the impact of Taobao share code sharing on transaction amount encompasses two core datasets: Wanxiangtai promotion visitors and transaction amount. As a key performance indicator for Tmall stores, Wanxiangtai reflects the capability of Taobao platform merchants to attract intelligent scenario-based visitors. The comparison of the decline amplitude between Wanxiangtai promotion visitors and transaction amount can provide data backing for brand in-site promotion, offer data references for operators in similar or related industries when allocating budgets, and support business growth.
1. Data Collection: Data was collected from Tmall channel system data and Tmall Business Consultant data spanning January-November 2023 and January-November 2024, including dimensions such as channel, traffic source, time, visitor source, Taobao share code visitors, and transaction amount. Sensitive information was encrypted, and data processing was conducted.
2. Algorithm Rules: The visitor-transaction elasticity coefficient Ed is calculated as Ed=(ΔQ/Q)÷(ΔP/P), where Q denotes the total number of Taobao share code visitors from January-November 2024, P denotes the total transaction amount over the same period, ΔQ represents the year-on-year change in total visitors, and ΔP represents the year-on-year change in total transaction amount. The absolute value of the elasticity coefficient |Ed| is adopted as the reference coefficient for data analysis.
3. Data Analysis: The elasticity between Taobao share code visitors and transaction amount can be analyzed based on the value of |Ed|:
(1) When |Ed|=1 (moderate promotion elasticity), the change amplitude of Taobao share code visitors matches that of transaction amount;
(2) When 1<|Ed| (highly elastic promotion), the change amplitude of Taobao share code visitors exceeds that of transaction amount;
(3) When |Ed|<1 (inelastic promotion), the change amplitude of search visitors is smaller than that of transaction amount.
