CROPWAT Model Outputs and Final Water Footprint Results

This dataset contains the supporting calculation files associated with the research article “Water Footprint Assessment as a Decision-Support Tool for Sustainable Water Management in Cacao (Theobroma cacao) Production Systems” The repository includes two files. The first contains the outputs generated with CROPWAT 8.0, including the estimated crop water requirements, effective rainfall, actual crop evapotranspiration, and irrigation requirements used in the analysis. The second contains the final calculations of the green, blue, and total water footprints, as well as crop productivity and crop water productivity results. The calculations correspond to cocoa crop evaluated for the municipalities of Meta - Colombia, using climatic and agricultural information. These files are provided as supplementary research data to improve the transparency, traceability, verification, and reproducibility of the methodology and results reported in the associated article.
