The Impact of Creativity on the Sense of Life Meaning Among Young People and Its Underlying Mechanisms

Study 1: Selecting college students from a university in Guangxi as the research subjects. After obtaining informed consent from school leaders and students themselves, a total of 1992 students participated in the questionnaire survey. Those who did not answer seriously were excluded, resulting in 1856 valid participants. Study 2: Selecting college students from a university in Guangxi as research subjects. Collect questionnaires with the informed consent of school leaders and students themselves. This study collected data from four scales, including creativity, meaning of life, perceived social support, and natural connectivity, in September 2024 (T1). Four months later, a follow-up survey will be conducted on the same group of college students in January 2025 (T2). A total of 711 valid questionnaires were collected in the first survey, and 646 valid follow-up questionnaires were ultimately collected in the second survey. Study 3 (Pre experiment of Combined Sentences): The experiment selected 92 college students from a university in Guangxi. After preliminary screening of the data, 5 participants who did not answer seriously were excluded, leaving only 87 valid participants. Study 3 (Formal Experiment Initiated by Combining Sentences): This study conducted a participant recruitment process at two universities in Guangxi and Yunnan. A total of 167 college students were recruited to participate in the experiment. After data collection was completed, 12 participants who did not answer according to the instructions or did not answer seriously were removed to ensure the quality and validity of the data. The final effective participants were 155.Study 4 (Recall Initiation Pre experiment): 46 participants from a high school in Guiyang were selected, and 5 participants who did not answer seriously or did not understand the meaning of the questions correctly were excluded. Finally, 41 valid participants remained. Study 4 (Recall Initiation Formal Experiment): A total of 258 participants were recruited from a high school or college in Yunnan Province. 33 participants who did not answer according to the instructions or did not answer seriously were removed, resulting in 225 valid participants.
