Partial description of a novel victorivirus in Gremmeniella abietina

An isolate of the conifer fungal pathogen Gremmeniella abietina was chosen for the characterisation of its dsRNA- banding pattern. One of the bands, with a size of ca. 5kb was purified and cloned with the purpose of confirming the occurrence of a possible virus. Here, we present a partial sequence of a possible novel species of ictorivirus that we propose to call Gremmeniella victorivirus 3 (GVV3)
