Brazilian Atmospheric Inventories - BRAIN version 2: air quality dataset in Brazil - 2020

We coupled emissions inventories, the Weather Research and Forecasting (WRF) model, and the Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System (CMAQ) to produce the BRAIN air quality dataset for Brazil. CMAQ version 5.3.2 was set up using the third version of the Carbon Bond 6 chemical mechanism (cb6r3_ae7_aq) with AERO7 treatment of Secondary Organic Aerosol for standard cloud chemistry. Other model configurations used in this work can be found in SM5 and https://github.com/leohoinaski/CMAQrunner. The pollutant list in CMAQ outputs containing multiple species.The CMAQ standard profile of boundary conditions is used in the larger domain (d01), which provides the boundary conditions for the smaller one (d02). The simulations have 24 hours length and time step interval of 1 hour. The last hour of the previous simulation has been set up as the initial condition of the next one. We used the standard profile for the first hour of the first simulation (00:00:00 01-01-2019). Domain details can be observed in SM1.In this dataset, we provide hourly data with 20x20km of spatial resolution (d01) covering the Brazilian territory. Files are in netCDF format and divided by day from 2020.

我们将排放清单、天气研究与预报（Weather Research and Forecasting, WRF）模型以及社区多尺度空气质量模拟系统（Community Multiscale Air Quality Modeling System, CMAQ）相结合，构建了面向巴西的BRAIN空气质量数据集。本研究采用5.3.2版本的CMAQ模型，配置了碳键6（Carbon Bond 6）化学机制的第三版本（cb6r3_ae7_aq），并针对标准云化学过程采用AERO7方案处理二次有机气溶胶（Secondary Organic Aerosol）。本研究使用的其他模型配置细节可参见补充材料SM5及https://github.com/leohoinaski/CMAQrunner。CMAQ的输出结果涵盖多物种污染物列表。大尺度区域（d01）采用CMAQ标准边界条件廓线，并为小尺度区域（d02）提供边界条件。模拟时长为24小时，时间步长设为1小时；前一次模拟的最后1小时数据被设置为下一次模拟的初始条件。首次模拟（2019年1月1日00:00:00）的第1小时数据采用标准廓线。区域设置细节可参见补充材料SM1。本数据集提供覆盖巴西全境的大尺度区域（d01）逐时数据，空间分辨率为20×20公里。数据文件采用netCDF格式，按日期分为2020年起的逐日文件。
