资源简介:
Labeo rohita is an economically important Indian major carp cultured in different parts of India. Tissue-specific microbiota associated with fish play significant role in host health and regulation of diverse physiological activities such as nutrient absorption, metabolism and immune responses. The study explored the bacterial microbiota associated with three different tissues (gills, cecum and skin) of Labeo rohita. Genomic DNA was extratcted using commercial kit followed by sequencing of V1-V9 hypervariables regions of 16S rRNA . Understanding the tissue-specific microbiota provides comprehensive insights into the host-bacterial interactions that paves the way in the direction for the development of alternative antimicrobial strategies to combat bacterial mediated infections thereby promoting sustainable aquaculture.
