# Multi-angular hyperspectral reflectance and solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence observations of winter wheat This dataset provides multi-angular hyperspectral reflectance and solar-induced chlorophyll fluorescence (SIF) observations acquired over a winter wheat canopy during the 2025 growing season. Measurements were collected using the AutoSIF system and are accompanied by daily canopy structural and biochemical parameters. ## Dataset overview The dataset consists of three main components: 1. **Structural and biochemical measurements** - Daily records of leaf area index (LAI), leaf chlorophyll content (LCC), and auxiliary information. 2. **AutoSIF spectral observations** - Time-resolved and angle-resolved hyperspectral reflectance (300–1200 nm) and far-red SIF retrievals. - Both SIF_3FLD and SIF_SFM products are provided. - Viewing geometry (VZA, VAA), solar geometry (SZA, SAA), and incident PAR for each acquisition. 3. **Field photos** - Daily photographs depicting the field conditions. ## File structure - `Structure_Biochemistry`: Daily measurements of LAI and LCC, along with auxiliary information.- `AutoSIF_observation`: One Excel file per observation day containing all AutoSIF measurements for that day.- `Field_photos`: Daily photographs depicting the field conditions.- `Figures_examples`: Example figures illustrating seasonal and diurnal variability.- `Code_examples`: Example MATLAB scripts for data processing and visualization. ## Usage notes - SIF_SFM is recommended for most analyses due to its higher robustness to noise and spectral interference. The dataset supports analyses of seasonal dynamics, diurnal variability, and angular effects in canopy reflectance and fluorescence.- When executing our MATLAB code for data visualization, it is recommended to first run the ''A1_read_excel_files_into_mat.m'' script to convert the AutoSIF_observation Excel files into MAT files.
