Mass spectrometry method: the extracts were analyzed by high-performance liquid chromatography (LC) coupled to a high-resolution tandem mass spectrometer (HRMS, q-Exactive, Orbitrap) fitted with a heated ElectroSpray Ionization (ESI) and operating in positive ionization mode. Fragmentation spectra (MS/MS) were collected in data-dependent mode.
The chromatography conditions were as follow: reverse-phase column (2 um C18 particles, 150 x 2.1 mm) and the mobile phase consisted of acetonitrile-water + 0.1% formic acid (gradient mode starting from 10% acetonitrile to 100% in 30 min).
