Subtidal Kelp Forest Fish Surveys

Annual surveys were performed, investigating fish diversity, habitats and distributions. Top, midwater and bottom of water column were sampled along each transect (30m x 2m x 2m ) noting fish species and abundances of each species. This was performed at 12 sites from Hopkins (Monterey Peninsula) to Cambria Rock (San Luis Obispo county). Each site consists of two areas within each lay two transects. Species lists were created. More than 14 fish species were documented.
