Discrete interfacial seawater samples were taken from below floes 8 and 9 by scientists from Plymouth Marine Laboratory. These samples were taken and analysed to generate chlorophyll-a measurements. This was part of the PICCOLO project, cruise SD035 to the Southern Ocean on the RRS Sir David Attenborough in February 2024.
