Photographs of David William Reed (4)

David William Reed, the brother of Albert George Reed and Caroline Austin (nee Reed), and brother-in-law of Thomas Richard Austin. Family postcards sent in 1915 and 1916. He returned from France badly wounded, nearly lost his right arm and was in hospital for many months, but was luckier than his brother and brother-in-law who both were killed in action.

Two single shots (one dated 8th April 1916) and one group photograph of men in jackets or shirt-sleeves, with the caption: 'Rhyl, 1915'.

大卫·威廉·里德（David William Reed）是阿尔伯特·乔治·里德（Albert George Reed）与卡罗琳·奥斯汀（原姓里德，Caroline Austin (nee Reed)）的胞弟，同时也是托马斯·理查德·奥斯汀（Thomas Richard Austin）的姻亲。1915年至1916年间的家庭明信片藏品记载，他从法国战场返国时身负重伤，右臂险些不保，住院长达数月；但他远比两位在战斗中阵亡的兄弟与姻亲幸运。
