IgE titer was measured by passive cutaneous anaphylaxis in rats. Unconjugated epitope was also able to elicit an antibody reaction after repeated injections. An IgE response was observed in 14 of 16 C3H/HeN mice, but only 8 of 20 C57Bl/6 mice at 4 weeks after the 6th injection.
