This repository contains raw and processed data for the manuscript entitled: "Gold nanoparticles controllably deposited by magnetron sputtering on TiO2 photoelectrocatalysts: A multi-technique study".The dataset includes all the data used for this study: Microscopy data: SEM (.bmp for the images, .txt for the associated metadata) / TEM (.jpg for the images and .dm4 for the instrument software) / STEM (.tif for the images and .emd for the instrument software) images of the TiO2 thin film and the Au nanoparticles Spectroscopy data: XPS spectra (.vms that can be opened in CasaXPS or .txt that can be opened in QUASES Generate), UV-Vis transmission spectra (.asc format), Raman spectra (.txt format) Diffraction data: XRD (.raw to open it in DIFFRAC.EVA or .xy) and SAED (.dm4 to open the file with the instrument software, .tif to see the electron diffraction pattern, .txt and .xlsx with the rotational sum of TEM-SAED intensities) Photoelectrochemistry data (.txt of the raw files and . xlxsx for the compiled one) Orign files containing some of the final graphs A "@@Readme.txt" file provides all the details needed to look at the dataset. You can use the first column of the tables inside to navigate in the dataset; it indicates for each Figure or Table all the data that it contains. If the Figure/Table is in the main manuscript, it is in the first table; if it is in the supplementary information, it is in the second table. In the folders, the data are classified by technique to facilitate reuse by researchers focusing on specific characterization methods, with the following structure: - PEC (PhotoelEctroCatalysis)- Raman (Raman spectroscopy)- SAED (Selected Area Electron Diffraction)- SEM (Scanning Electron Microscopy)- STEM (Scanning Transmission Electron Microscopy) - TEM (Transmission Electron Microscopy) - UV-Vis (UV-Vis transmission spectroscopy)- XPS (X-ray Photoelectron Spectroscopy)- XRD (X-Ray Diffraction)Two additional Origin files that imply cross-techniques comparison. Each folder contains at least one "@Readme_xx" file explaining the experimental procedure used to acquire the data.
