VPRS 15050 Registers of Grants to Schools and Churches

This series contains the formal grant pro forma transferring land from the Crown to churches and National Schools for their special purposes. The pro forma sets out the names of the first trustees and a full description of the land and the purpose for which it was granted. Each document is signed by the Lieutenant-Governor and then the Governor and countersigned by the Chief Secretary as Registrar. On the reverse of the document is certification by the Registrar of the Supreme Court in relation to the title to the land.
