Molecular characterization of B. pseudomallei isolates from Malaysia. BPWGS MALAYSIA

Malaysia is endemic for melioidosis; however, a full picture of the nationwide disease epidemiology and characterization of B. pseudomallei isolates is not available. To fill that gap, the objective of this study was to obtain demographic information on melioidosis and correlate disease outcomes with phenotypes and genotypes of local B. pseudomallei isolates. A total of 72 B. pseudomallei isolates were subjected to whole genome sequencing.
