Processed Multibeam Sonar Data (version 2) near the Antarctic Peninsula acquired during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0201 (2002)

This data set was acquired with a SeaBeam Instruments model 2112 multibeam sonar system during Nathaniel B. Palmer expedition NBP0201 conducted in 2002 (Chief Scientist: Dr. John Anderson). These data files include Swath Bathymetry, Acoustic Backscatter data and were processed at sea using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, beginning with version 1. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Late Pleistocene to Holocene Glacial History of West Antarctica, and funding was provided by the U.S. National Science Foundation.

本数据集由SeaBeam Instruments 2112型多波束声呐系统采集，采集工作开展于2002年执行的内森尼尔·B·帕尔默号（Nathaniel B. Palmer）考察航次NBP0201，本次航次的首席科学家为约翰·安德森（John Anderson）博士。本次采集的数据文件包含条带测深（Swath Bathymetry）与声学背散射（Acoustic Backscatter）两类数据，并在航次作业期间通过开源MB-System多波束声呐处理软件完成数据处理。本数据集自版本1.0起被纳入GMRT合成数据集（GMRT Synthesis）。本次数据采集作为“南极西部晚更新世至全新世冰川演化历史”研究项目的一部分开展，并得到美国国家科学基金会（U.S. National Science Foundation）的经费支持。
